Scott Crane - President
Scott Crane is a 20 year restaurant industry veteran who brings tremendous talent and leadership to smashburger in the areas of restaurant operations, real estate selection and development, growth, and strategic planning. Scott previously served as Executive Vice President of Kansas-based Fugate Enterprises, an operator of over 300 franchise restaurants including Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Sonic, and Blockbuster Video stores. Crane helped grow the company from 230 units to 300, leading Fugate through five years of substantial unit growth and profitability improvement. He has also served in operating and management roles at Lone Star Steakhouse, Amarillo Mesquite Grill, and Houlihan's.
Ryan McMonagle - CFO
Ryan's background includes both private equity and strategic consulting for consumer oriented concepts. Previously Mr. McMonagle was a Vice President at CCP, where he focused on restaurant and consumer investment opportunities, including the sale of Quiznos to JP Morgan Partners, now CCMP. Prior to CCP, Ryan was a Summer Associate for Founders Equity, a New York based private equity firm focused on the lower middle market. Prior to joining Founders, Ryan worked at Bain and Company, where he spent time in their private equity practice working with large private equity firms on their due diligence of potential acquisition candidates. At Bain, Ryan also worked with several clients in consumer industries, developing roll out strategies for new products and helping to improve store level profitability. Ryan received his MBA from Harvard Business School and received his BBA in Finance and Organization Behavior from Southern Methodist University. Mr. McMonagle currently serves as the President of the SMU Young Alumni Association.
Mark Clark - Director of Operations, Denver
Mark Clark brings over 20 years of talent and experience in restaurant operations. Mark began his restaurant career in several highly regarded chains rising through the ranks to the position of Senior Training General Manager for Red Robin Restaurants. With Red Robin, Mark set all time company records for daily and weekly sales. Mark was used as their benchmark score for their management profile test. He has been recognized by Nation's Restaurant News as one of the top 50 General Mangers in the United States. Prior to joining smashburger, Mark held the position of Director of Operations for Chi Bistro. Mark was involved with the creation of this new concept from the ground floor. Mark has been involved with the operations of smashburger since its inception as well.
Dan Demolli - Director of Development
Dan Demolli brings over 18 years of experience in QSR Franchise Support Operations. Prior to joining smashburger, Dan worked with The Quiznos Corporation. He began his tenure with Quiznos when the company held only 20 units and assisted in growing the brand to over 4000 units over a 15 year period. At Quiznos, Dan created a training curriculum for new franchise owners and within the Quiznos Corporation has held the positions of Director of Training, EVP Development - Quiznos Canada and VP of Area Director Support.
Jennifer Bryant - Director of Human Resources
Jennifer Bryant's background brings 13 years of front line restaurant operations experience combined with a solid Human Resources management track record. Prior to joining smashburger in 2008, Jennifer spent 6 years as a Manager with RockBottom Restaurants and has held various Human Resources management positions with Nordstrom Inc, Quiznos, and Frontier Airlines.
Jennifer is a member of the Women's Foodservice Forum, Society of Human Resources Management and holds the designation of Certified SeniorProfessional in Human Resources (SPHR)
